Peoria Sunset Lions Club Foundation needs volunteers to help pack Christmas boxes for the troops in Afghanistan. The Lions will need help packing boxes Monday the 5th and Tuesday the 6th at the Challenger Learning Center on 83rd Ave. North of Beardsley (Next to Sunrise Mountain High School) from 8 AM. to 5 PM. both days. We need help to move large boxes out of storage and to sort the donated items into categories. We have close to a ton of donations due to the generosity of the citizens from the West Valley and desperately need help to get it all to our troops in time for Christmas.
Any amount of time you can offer to Support Our Troops will be greatly appreciated. We also are accepting donations to offset the $2500.00 to $3000.00 it will take for postage. We are a 501 ( c ) (3) so all donations of goods, money or gas mileage is tax deductible.
